We were first involved in the project in January 2018 when we were asked to complete an install of ADM measures to both sides of the pipe crossing the River Tame, which was completed. In early 2021, the client contacted us as they needed to conduct further remediation works and we were tasked with the below scope. The works were completed in May 2021.

Scope:

  • Remove all existing spinner ADM’s from LHS & RHS of bridge structure
Single Pipe
  • Cover all four sides of the existing steel pipe support structure with perforated mesh
  • Cover the end section of the existing steel pipe support structure with perforated mesh
  • Install 4.0m of spinners on the top edge of the newly installed perforated mesh on both sides
  • Install 1.2m of spinners on the top end edge of the newly installed perforated mesh
Triple Pipe

  • Install 7.0m of spinners on the top edge of the newly installed perforated mesh on the RHS
  • Install 3.0m of spinners on the top edge of the newly installed perforated mesh on the LHS

Following the initial ADM install in 2018, an inspection report was carried out by DNV (known as DNV GL at the time) in January 2020. This inspection report highlighted issues with the bracing steelwork at the east end of the pipebridge and the pipe supports/pipeline coating.
