This project started in June 2020 and was completed March 2021. We were tasked by the client to install a replacement gas riser system.

Scope:

• Bespoke scaffolding to 5x blocks of flats
• 1,000m of welded steel risers & laterals
• 320 lateral entry points

Our responsibility for the job was to act as a Contractor for tRIIO. tRIIO was a joint venture between Morrison Utility Services and Skanska UK and they were acting as CDM for the site.
As this project took place towards the end of the first COVID lockdown in 2020, we faced some serious hazards & challenges on site which we do not normally take into consideration, where we required the help of tRIIO site managers, Nottingham Council & even residents on site.
Residents were more willing to help with access in the wake of COVID than was anticipated which aided in completing the job in a timely manner.
